Disney Deluxe Resorts

Disney offers three tiers of resorts for their guests: Deluxe, Moderate and Value.  For this article, I will focus on the Disney Deluxe tier. These resorts offer many benefits to discerning travelers like proximity to the parks, upscale theming, higher-end dining options and even a concierge level for more exclusivity after a day in the parks. The Deluxe Resorts also offer Villas that have kitchens and bedrooms.  A large group can sleep comfortably and have some additional privacy in a Deluxe Villa.

Depending on what you enjoy, each Resort has a different theme that immerses you in Disney magic.  How about a magical trip to the South Pacific?  The majesty of the great Northwest or the beaches of a New England Resort?  Want to escape to Africa and stay in the middle of an animal sanctuary, So realistic that the giraffes come over to your outside balcony? Disney’s Deluxe Resorts can bring you there.

Whether you want elegant restaurants or a convenient food court there are plenty options to dine at a Deluxe Resort. Intricately themed pools with fun waterslides are sure to please your whole family. The deluxe pool area also offers fun themed poolside Bars and Chair Service Attendants to bring your food and drinks right to your beach chair. These well-planned pool areas are just what you need to spend a day swimming and relaxing.

For the concierge guest, there are additional benefits. All Disney guests are allowed three Fastpasses per day per guest during their vacation. A Fastpass is a pass that allows each member of your family to ride select rides without waiting in the standard long lines.  If you are staying at a Disney concierge level room, for an additional fee, you can purchase three extra Fastpasses per person each day. That means more time on rides and less time in line. You also have a dedicated concierge lounge with appetizers, beverages and alcohol options. The offerings vary by club, but most include a morning, afternoon and evening service.

Championship Golf and World Class Spas

Imagine a beautiful morning golfing at a PGA championship golf course and an afternoon at one of Disney’s world class spas enjoying a five-star massage.  The kids can spend some time with a prearranged 1:1 babysitter through Disney’s approved babysitting service Kids Night Out and you can all join later in evening for fireworks in the park.

Disney has three 18-hole championship golf courses and one 9-hole course that the whole family can play. All three Disney courses have hosted a PGA Tour tournament. You can even try your hand, well foot, at foot golf during your stay.  You can ship your clubs directly to the course and they will be sure to hold or transfer your clubs during your entire trip regardless of which course, or how many courses you will play. You just show up and play.  Once your clubs are in the system, Disney Golf will handle the transportation of your clubs for you. Oh, and of course, all Disney Resort guests are provided free transportation to and from the golf course. The onsite pro shops are there to help you find some unique Mickey golfing merchandise or clubs that you can rent for the day.

How about a massage later in the afternoon?  Maybe a couple’s massage or a facial?  Senses, A Disney Spa and Salon at the Grand Floridian or Senses, A Disney Spa and Salon at Saratoga Springs can help. Both spas offer full and half day packages, massages, facials and body treatments.   If you do want to take the little ones… you can arrange a manicure and pedicure at both spas. Maybe even get her a Castle Couture package and let the salon transform her magically into a princess!

Chartered Boats

How about renting a yacht to watch the fireworks on Bay Lake with your family?  A decorated birthday boat with a captain and private dining? A proposal at the finale of the fireworks? Disney World marinas are located at Contemporary Resort, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge, and Disney’s Yacht Club. All these Marinas can help you with a special occasion cruise.

Maybe you would like to spend time on a day cruise around the world? Or, to be more specific, the eleven world pavilions at Epcot?  You and up to 10 guests can spend a day on a pontoon boat relaxing and enjoying the world showcase pavilions. Departing from the Bayside Marina at Disney’s Yacht Club, this day cruise is available to explore Crescent Lake and the World Showcase Lagoon inside of Epcot. And yes, private Dining and other special touches are available.

Cabanas at Contemporary Resort

Cabanas

Does a private cabana with service sound like a great time out during a Disney vacation?  Disney offers private cabanas at the Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian and the Yacht and Beach Clubs. These resort cabanas may include a television with programming, phone, fruit tray, and a mini fridge stocked with drinks. All resort cabanas include a cabana attendant for the day to offer food and drink services.

Disney also offers private cabanas at both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. The cabanas are known as the Beachcomber Shacks at Typhoon Lagoon and Polar Patio at Blizzard Beach. It is amazing to relax in your cabana while overlooking the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon or escape to a peaceful patio in the shade at Blizzard Beach. Your kids can splash around and enjoy the waterpark while you catch up on some much-needed relaxation.

Each cabana has a private attendant to grab you lunch, drinks and make sure your experience is amazing. The cabanas have private lockers, an all-day drink mug for all guests, and a cooler stocked with ice and water.  You won’t need to worry about arriving early and reserving your space. Packing towels for the whole family or a safe place for your valuables when you are swimming isn’t a worry either. The cabanas have everything you need for a day at the waterpark.

Disney Guided VIP Tour

VIP Tours

Disney World also offers VIP tours. What is a VIP tour?  These tours are offered to ensure that you have the most magical day ever!  Every VIP tour has a VIP Disney Tour Guide. These guides are handpicked and expertly trained to plan the perfect itinerary for you and your family. Disney provides all the transportation to get you where you need to go. Disney offers predetermined itineraries, or you can customize your own tour based on your family needs.

Oh, and the best part is, no waiting in the long lines.

The customized VIP tour means the sky is the limit. You can meet with your family and decide what’s important to you. Do you want to sleep in?  Yup, Disney can create an itinerary with a flexible start. Don’t want to wait curbside for a memorable parade or fireworks viewing area? Disney offers VIP viewing areas for parades; stage shows and nighttime spectaculars. How about park hopping and dining?  Yes, they will add that to your customized VIP itinerary.

Perhaps this is your first trip to Disney World and you don’t know where to start?  Disney has also taken this into consideration and designed itineraries that guarantee you will experience the Disney Must Do’s. These predetermined itineraries will be sure to please everyone.

Are you a thrill-seeking family always up for a roller coaster? Then the seven-hour Ultimate Day of Thrills is just what the mouse ordered.  You will begin your day at the Magic Kingdom where you will ride all the Magic Kingdom thrills.  That is Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Splash Mountain. And for another type of thrill you will also ride Haunted Mansion. A bit of a jump scare for the whole family.

Are you done with thrills, no way! A quick lunch arranged by your guide and then over to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.  At Epcot you will ride Soarin and finish the day at Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios is where you will find all the fun thrill rides.  Your day will end riding Rock’n Roller Coaster, Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror and Star Tours. That’s eleven thrill rides at three parks in one day. Phew, that is one adrenaline packed day.

Too thrilling for your family? Maybe the Ultimate Disney Classic Tour is more your style. This fun for all ages tour is the perfect four-hour tour. You will arrive at Magic Kingdom and experience Dumbo, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, It’s A Small World, Jungle Cruise, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Winnie the Pooh, and the Journey of the Little Mermaid. I mean imagine experiencing all those rides in four hours!  That leaves enough time for me to plan your afternoon swimming at your deluxe resort pool and grabbing a reservation for an amazing dinner. Wow, what a day!

Why would you want these packages?  Well you will pay for that VIP tour but each of these tours mentioned above would take a typical Disney family three to four days to complete. On a typical day most of these rides would take well over a one hour wait in line. Well can’t you just get a Fastpass?  Yes, but you are limited to three Fastpasses per day. Further, there are some Fastpass restrictions to some of the most popular rides.  And the rides Disney has selected are some of their most popular rides. That means more time relaxing and enjoying your family with no stress.

In addition, Disney offers many more VIP Tours, Magical Safaris at Animal Kingdom, and educational offerings at Epcot. So many additional special moments, I couldn’t put it all in this article. Do you want to surprise your family when you arrive with a decorated hotel room? Have a special Disney cake at a restaurant for a birthday boy or girl?  You can do it! Disney can be a vacation destination for even the most discerning traveler. Special moments and a lifetime of memories for your family are just around the corner.

Seem overwhelming? Not a problem. Let me help you plan and navigate this vacation at no additional cost. Send an email to nicole@vacationeer.com and  you can have a luxury vacation at Disney World.
