Disney’s Lightning Lane is a separate ride entrance that provides guests with expedited wait times on over 40 attractions in the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks. Lightning Lane access is a paid feature that can be bought and scheduled through the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass tool on the My Disney Experience app.

LIGHTNING LANE MULTI PASS

Purchase and select 3 Lightning Lane attractions in advance of your arrival at Walt Disney World and up to 7-days prior to arriving. Once in the parks, guests can continue to pick Lightning Lane attractions to skip the standard wait times at some of their favorite attractions. See available attractions below:

LIGHTNING LANE SINGLE PASS

Separately purchase Single Lightning Lane access for the MOST POPULAR attractions in each park. This access also allows guests to skip the standard wait times. Guests can make 2 advanced choices up to 7 Days prior to arrival.

WHEN CAN I BOOK?

Walt Disney World Resort Guests

Walt Disney World Resort guests (including Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green) receive the added perk of booking their Lighting Lane selections 7-DAYS in ADVANCE of their check-in date. At 7am on the day of your booking window, you can book your advance Lightning Lane spots for each day of your park tickets, up to 14 days. Selections and purchase of the Multi Pass and Single Pass access will be processed PER DAY. But EACH of your ticket days can be processed at the beginning of your booking window.

Off-Property Guests

Guests with DATED ticket packages but who are not lodging at a Walt Disney World resort will be able to book their Lighting Lane selections 3-DAYS in ADVANCE of their check-in date. At 7am on the day of your booking window, you can book your advance Lightning Lane spots for each day of your park tickets, up to 14 days. Selections and purchase of the Multi Pass and Single Pass access will be processed PER DAY. But EACH of your ticket days can be processed at the beginning of your booking window.

Tickets with Park Pass Reservations

Annual Passholders will be able to book their advance Lightning Lanes up to 3 days prior to park entry. Unlike dated ticket holders, passholders will only be able to book 3 days in advance of each Park Reservation or “Good to Go” day.  However, if the Passholder is staying on Walt Disney World Resort property, then they receive the 7-Day advanced booking perk! 

International Guests

Guests traveling from outside of the United States will NOT be able to book their ADVANCE Lightning Lane selections until they arrive stateside. Once guests arrive within the United States, they will be able to access the Multi Pass and Single Pass tools inside the My Disney Experience app.

PREPARING FOR YOUR BOOKING WINDOW

Let’s run through what you should be doing to prepare for your 7 AM Eastern Multi Pass and Single Pass selections.

  1. DOWNLOAD the My Disney Experience app from your app store and utilize your Disney login.
  2. VERIFY that your “Family and Friends” who are traveling with you are all properly connected and sharing management of their plans within the app.
  3. CHECK that your resort and ticket package are connected to your plans and listed correctly. If you are unsure, connect with your Vacationeer travel advisor for help.
  4. ADD your payment information to your profile. This will be essential in helping you make your Lightning Lane purchase for each day efficiently. 

EXAMPLE: If you have a 7-Day park ticket and want to book Lightning Lane attractions in advance for each of the seven days, you will quickly grow tired of entering your credit card information for each of those day’s transactions.

  1. REVIEW dining reservations. If you have a character breakfast at Crystal Palace at 9 AM, you don’t want to accidentally schedule Jungle Cruise at the same time.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Using MULTI PASS

    1. PURCHASE Lightning Lane Multi Pass 
    2. SELECT & SCHEDULE 3 Advance Lightning Lane attractions up to 7-Days prior to your arrival
    3. CHECK-IN to the Park
    4. USE Lightning Lane access to SKIP the standard wait times
    5. ADD New Lightning Lane Selections after each use of your previous one
  • REPEAT

The 3 advanced Lightning Lane selections do come with one limitation. One attraction can be selected from Group 1 and the remaining two from Group 2. See chart at top.

Using SINGLE PASS

  1. PURCHASE up to 2 Single Pass Lightning Lane attractions for the most popular rides in the parks
  2. SCHEDULE Lightning Lane access times
  3. CHECK-IN to park
  4. USE Lightning Lane access to SKIP the standard wait times

Single Pass attractions can only be purchased and experienced ONCE through the Single Pass service. Only 5 attractions are available through Single Pass and these options ARE NOT available with Multi Pass. TRON LIGHTCYCLE RUN and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: COSMIC REWIND can also be accessed by Virtual Queue.
